Our founding team reflected on the people that impacted us most in our own personal journeys of growth and self care. We realized that each of our respective works was inspired by a great Marvin.

These inspiring Marvins consisted of...

• Marvin Maurer: an educator who developed an emotional literacy program in the early 1970s
• Marvin Minsky: a cognitive scientist and pioneer in the fields of AI and philosophy
• Marvin Gaye: the great soul musician and producer

As a result, we thought it was incredibly fitting to call our brand “Marvin” as a way to put a friendly name — and face — to the process of seeking behavioral health care.
